100 delegates from 49 countries joined with AALAS Council of Peers to develop a framework for Flipped Learning global standards. In 2018, the framework was published and adopted. The Global Standards Project spawned a non-profit organization focused on establishing generally accepted international conventions for Flipped Learning.
In 2019, seven universities adopted the AALAS best practices and launched programs based on the Flipped Learning 3.0 framework. This charter group of institutions make up the Flipped Learning 3.0 Coalition and continue to curate, peer review, and apply the most advanced research and best practices shared through this international network. In 2021, the coalition opened Flipped Learning Certification Centers on three continents.
